Essure is a medical device that offers female sterilization. Essure is currently under scrutiny from the FDA due to adverse events reports and questions regarding the device’s safety and effectiveness.

Injuries from the Essure device include migration of the device from the fallopian tubes, perforated organs, device fracture or corrosion. These failures can result in chronic pain and inflammation, autoimmune disorders, multiple surgeries, failed marriages or even death.
